In 2007, Nordstrom published its first ever holiday book written by Nordstrom copywriter Randy Schliep and illustrated by Lisa Evans, a British freelance artist. The book, titled "Once Upon A Holiday: The Moon Fell Out of the Sky," is a Christmas story about a little girl named Sophie, her Christmas wish, an ambitious cow, a wise owl and a luminescent moon to save the holiday. As project Visual Designer, I concepted and designed a series of animated windows along 6th avenue of the Downtown Seattle flagship store, and working with local partners, brought to life scenes and characters from the story as a pop-up book.
